Limited Company

 At the General Meeting of member clubs on Wednesday (7th) evening it was unimously agreed a resolution to incorporate the League as a compnay limited by guarantee. This move promotes better goverance of the League, greater security for membership and represents best practice in the modern era. It also provides for greater scrutiny of the finances of the league and an annual audit to comply with company law. It is hoped that the establisment of the company will also promote a more strategic focus and financial planning for years to come.

League Chairman Terry Pateman said "I am pleased that League Clubs gave their support to allow the League to take this very important step. It is a huge milestone as the League approaches its Centenary. The League Committee will continue to work hard to promote the game of association football for its member clubs."
